U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "Kudos to the lads"

Following Atalanta U23s' win in Cosenza, head coach Salvatore Bocchetti shared his thoughts on the match: "We came to Cosenza to play our game and not to sit back and I have to say that we made the most of the chances we created. Credits to the lads: they gave absolutely everything and, as a coach I couldn't be happier. Seeing how hord they work everyday, they reallly deserved this win. I’ve always had faith in them, this is an extraordinary group”.

"I'm really pleased with how we played - the Nerazzurri coach continued- "we finally converted the chances we created, something we lacked in the previous games. We were up against one of the strongest teams in the league, and, as I said before, I'm very pleased with the achievement we pulled off today. Cosenza had a couple of chances, but we never really found ourselves in hot waters. We were clinical when it mattered and gave it everything. Now, we turn our focus to the next match”.

Bocchetti then concluded as follows: "Looking back, we dropped a few points along the way, but that's part of the journey.I’ve had full confidence in these lads even before tonight. I know mistakes can happen, but that goes with being young and still developing. But they responded brilliantly, especially given all the absences. Credit to them”.
