Following Atalanta's win in Cerignola, coach Salvatore Bocchetti commented as follows:
"Today, despite the result, we could have done better at times and made smarter decisions in certain moments. We knew coming here woukdn't be easy, but the team gave everything. I want to congratulate the players, winning in Cerignola is no simple task. We need to keep moving in this direction and I'm pleased with their effort. We'll review the match carefully because we made too many mistakes and we can't affort them. The season is long and tough so we need to make as many points as possible".
He added: “The more the players play, the more they grow and gain confidence. A month ago we faced difficulties, but now we’re on the right track. We still need to correct some lapses, but that’s part of the process: let’s not forget we’re the youngest team in the league. The players are giving their all, and I’m happy with their commitment. Now it’s time to focus on the next match”.
