Éderson's goal seals victory over AC Milan at the Meazza Stadium

The Nerazzurri run out victorious on Serie A matchweek 33

A second-half goal from Éderson earned Atalanta a very important win away to AC Milan, as the Nerazzurri edged past the Rossoneri 1-0 at the Stadio Meazza in the 33rd round of Serie A 2024/25 Enilive to move to 64 points and retain third place in the table.

The first half was a cagey affair with no real chances for either side. The best opportunities came in the 25th minute when Pašalić pulled back from the byline for Retegui, whose first-time shot went wide of the near post, and in the 44th minute, when Jovic fired wide for the hosts.

The Nerazzurri finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute at the end of a fine team move, which ended with Bellanova knocking the Lookman cross down for Éderson to head home. Gasperini's men came close to doubling their lead in the 74th minute when Lookman set up Retegui, who came sliding in and shot inches wide. Lookman went close on the counterattack in the 90th minute, but Maignan got his foot to the ball, while Reijnders' shot was over in the 95th minute. That was the Rossoneri's last chance, which meant the Nerazzurri ran out 1-0 winners at the Stadio Meazza.
