Krstović's late heroics secure point at San Siro
1-1 Stalemate in Milan between Atalanta and Inter
Krstović's late strike secured a vital point at San Siro as Atalanta drew 1-1 with table-toppers Inter in the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive MD29.
After five minutes, Scamacca went close as Atalanta won the ball back high up the field, but his shot drifted wide. Inter answered with Dimarco, whose left-footed volley lacked precision. On 12 minutes Scamacca had another go from range, forcing Sommer into a two-stage save. Esposito put Inter ahead in the 26th with a left-footed diagonal. Dimarco, Thuram, and Bisseck threatened before the break, but Atalanta’s backline stood strong.
Early in the second half, Thuram had a go with a fierce shot from outside the box, but it sailed wide. On 61 minutes Carnesecchi came off his line brilliantly to deny Thuram mano-a-mano. Only three minutes later, Dumfries made a piercing run from right to left, finishing off target. Later on, Krstović tried his luck from range, but his effort drifted wide. Atalanta came close to equalizing in the 69th minute through Bernasconi: his left-footed diagonal was blocked by Carlos Augusto just in front of the goal line. The equalizer finally arrived in the 82nd minute, as Krstović pounced on Sommer’s rebound from Kamaldeen’s shot to net the 1-1 goal, a clutch result against the current Serie A leaders.
