How the Nerazzurri youngsters fared this weekend
Four wins and one defeat from a Youth Sector weekend that saw all the Academy’s competitive sides in action. On Saturday, the U18s claimed an impressive win over Roma, making it three consecutive 2-1 victories thanks to goals from captain Gerri and Edomwnoyi, with the 2010-born forward finding the net in each of the opening three league games.
On Sunday, the Primavera suffered a home defeat to Torino, with Ciapini on target in the 3-1 loss. The U17s claimed a 3-1 away win over Monza courtesy of goals from Percassi, Pettinà and Cappellato. Finally, there were goals aplenty in the two fixtures against Südtirol at the Centro Bortolotti. The U16s came from behind to win 5-1 through Montalbano, Giustacchini, Magrin, Ferraresso and Facchinetti, while the U15s ran out 9-0 winners, with Iurascu netting a hat-trick, Nichesola a brace and Carrara, Bini, Angeloni and Pasini each adding a goal.
