The Month Ahead: October
Six games in 17 days for a Serie A and Conference League tour de force
After a lengthy international break, October brings the Nerazzurri back into action — and straight into a packed run of fixtures. Six games in just 17 days, evenly split between Serie A and European action, will see Atalanta criss-cross between Bergamo and trips to Milan, Amsterdam and Florence.
It all starts back home. On Monday 12 October, exactly one month on from their last outing at the New Balance Arena, the Nerazzurri welcome Venezia at 18:30 CEST, bringing Serie A football back to Bergamo and getting October under way.
There will be little time to catch breath before attention turns to Europe. On Thursday 15 October, at 21:00 CEST, Bergamo will host Pafos as Atalanta begin their Conference League Phase campaign.
A full-throttle opening week will then conclude at the Giuseppe Meazza. On Sunday 18 October, at 18:00 CEST, the Nerazzurri head to San Siro to take on Milan.
Next stop: Amsterdam. On Thursday 22 October, Atalanta face Ajax at 21:00 CEST in their second European fixture of the month, before heading straight back to the New Balance Arena. Frosinone will be the visitors on Sunday 25 October, with the 15:00 CET kick-off wrapping up October’s home programme.
One final trip remains, this time to Florence. On Thursday 29 October, at 20:45 CET, Atalanta visit Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi to bring a whirlwind October to a close.
