U23s, Idele & Riccio’s World Cup journey ends in the Round of 16

U23s representatives on International duty, October 9:
Idele and Riccio were both in the starting lineup for Italy U20 in the Round of 16 of the World Cup in Chile. The Azzurrini faced the United States in Rancagua, suffering a 3–0 defeat that brought their journey in the competition to an end.
On Friday, October 10, it will be the turn of the U21 to take the spotlight: Obrić and Slovenia U21 will lock horns with Israel at 18:00 CEST In Budaörs (Hungary), while Papadopoulos and Greece U21s will square off against Germany at 18:15 CEST at the Ernst-Abbe Sportfeld in Jena. Both fixtures are part of the road to the 2027 U21s European Championship.
