The Zingonia report: October 6
Back to training at the Centro Bortolotti
The team returned to training at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia this afternoon following the two days off granted by coach Sarri.
After an opening session in the gym and the usual activation work, featuring mobility drills over hurdles and technical circuits, Éderson and his teammates moved out onto the pitch for a technical drill, followed by an eleven-a-side game on a reduced-size pitch and, to round off the session, some aerobic work. Kessie, Obrić and Samardžić, the first players back from their respective international commitments, also took part in training. Hien and Sulemana underwent treatment and worked in the gym, while Kossounou and Raspadori received treatment only.
Thomas Pompei underwent surgery to reduce and stabilise a fracture to the middle phalanx of the fourth finger of his right hand. The procedure was successful and the goalkeeper will begin his rehabilitation programme in the coming days.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 7 October, preparations for the return of league action will continue with an afternoon training session at the Centro Bortolotti, behind closed doors.
