"Selvino Calcio Special” with Atalanta For Special taking centre stage
The 3rd-level team featured, with reinforcements from the 4th level
Last weekend, Selvino hosted the first edition of the “Selvino Calcio Special”, a football event dedicated to people with disabilities, featuring Atalanta For Special, Inter and Accademia Isola Bergamasca.
The day began with a third-level match between Atalanta For Special and Inter, with the Bergamo side winning 3-1. In the second game, which ended in a draw between Atalanta For Special and Inter, four players from Accademia Isola Bergamasca joined the two teams on the pitch, sharing the game in a true spirit of sport and inclusion. The third match saw Accademia Isola Bergamasca take to the field with their full squad, with several wheelchair athletes also taking part.
A day of sport, togetherness and inclusion, rounded off with a social gathering and an awards ceremony for all the participants.
