Scamacca at the double and another comeback: 2-2 with Udinese
Rally from two down keeps Nerazzurri unbeaten at home in 2026
On Matchday 28 of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season, Atalanta came from two goals down to draw 2–2 with Udinese at the New Balance Arena, with a brace from Scamacca helping the Nerazzurri preserve their unbeaten league home record in 2026.
In what proved to be a levelled first half, while the first chance of the game fell to the visitors, with Ehizibue firing wide from range, the Nerazzurri responded through Scamacca, whose effort went just off target. On 29 minutes, Carnesecchi was called into action, getting a hand to the dangerous delivery from the right by Zaniolo and pushing it behind for a corner. In the 39th minute Udinese broke the deadlock with Kristensen, who nodded the ball into the net following a corner-kick delivery. The last chance before halftime was Nerazzurri, with Scamacca nodding high over the bar.
The Nerazzurri neared the equaliser mere minutes after the restart, with Scamacca hitting the post with a ranged strike from the edge of the box on 50 minutes. Udinese doubled their lead in the 55th with Davis, finalising on a rebound in the box with an angled first-touch left-footer. The Nerazzurri retaliated in the 58th with Kamaldeen, whose header on Bernasconi's cross from the left-flank hissed just wide. In the 63rd minute, a slick Scamacca-Krstović link-up freed the Montenegrin, whose shot on target was comfortably gathered by Okoye. The Nerazzurri kept the pressure on, but Krstović could not find the target from Zappacosta’s delivery in the 66th minute. Atalanta pulled one back in the 75th minute, when Scamacca rose highest to finalize Zalewski's cross with a towering header. The Nerazzurri number 9 was not finished though, as it took him 4 minutes to complete his brace and level the scoring, sending the New Balance Arena into a frenzy: after a dodgy clearance from Okoye on Krstović's finish, Scamacca doubled down with another headed finish and equalized in Bergamo. The Nerazzurri piled on the pressure, with Krstović drawing a fingertip save from Okoye in the 84th with his ranged shot. Udinese tried to find a second wind with Atta, who fired it wide over the top corner, and then with Buksa, halted in the mano-a-mano against Carnesecchi by the Atalanta keeper. It finished 2-2 between Atalanta and Udinese at the New Balance Arena.
