Obrić and Bergonzi sealing the comeback
Along the lines of the reverse fixture, the Nerazzurri came from behind to impose themselves over Pro Patria: the MD33 rescheduling ends up with Atalanta U23s walking off the Carlo Speoni stadium 2-1 winners courtesy of Obrić and Bergonzi.
A lively start at the Carlo Speroni stadium, with Pro Patria striking first in the 7th minute through a counter led by Tosi, who darted into the box and found the net. The Nerazzurri hit back on 16 minutes with Obrić "heading" Atalanta into the draw following a corner-kick. The first half wrapped up with chances at both ends: first, the hosts had another crack with Toci, kept out by Pardel. On the other side, minute 49 saw Navarro unleash a left-footed scorcher, which was ultimately deflected out for a corner.
After Ceresoli's 48th-minute cross-shot was parried by Rovida for a corner, the Nerazzurri took the lead in the 72nd minute when Bernasconi's long throw-in turned into an assist for Bergonzi, who nodded our Under-23s ahead from inside the box. On 85 minutes Modesto's men had the chance to take a two-goal lead with Vlahović, who blazed it over the bar mano-a-mano with Rovida.
