Primavera: Back to Work at the Centro Bortolotti
The Nerazzurri's pre-season preparations will continue in Brentonico from Saturday
The 2026/27 season officially got underway for Atalanta's Primavera side with the team's first gathering, followed by their opening training session at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia. The Nerazzurri will once again be led by Head Coach Giovanni Bosi.
Before training got underway, the squad was addressed by Head of the Youth Academy Roberto Samaden, Deputy Head of the Youth Academy Giancarlo Finardi and Director of the Youth Academy's Technical and Player Development Area Michele Sbravati.
Beginning his fourth season in charge of the Nerazzurri Primavera and his tenth within Atalanta's Youth Academy, Head Coach Giovanni Bosi shared his thoughts ahead of the new campaign:
"Our objectives remain the same as always: first and foremost, to help our players develop, while at the same time striving to achieve our team goals, just as we did last season when we enjoyed the great satisfaction of winning the Coppa Italia. We'll look to build a young squad, but one with plenty of quality. We have great faith in these boys. Once again this year, we'll have the opportunity to spend part of our pre-season at our training camp in Brentonico, where we'll work for around ten days to ensure we're fully prepared and in the best possible condition for the start of the league campaign. We also have the Supercoppa to look forward to, but we'll focus on that at the right time. For now, the priority is to make the most of these days to build a strong group and get to know one another."
The Primavera side will train at the Centro Bortolotti until Friday before continuing their pre-season preparations in Brentonico, Trentino-Alto Adige, from Saturday 18 July until Tuesday 28 July.
The Primavera 1 season will begin at the end of August, with Atalanta travelling to Bologna for their opening fixture on Sunday 23 August (kick-off 11:00 CEST). The Nerazzurri will then host Roma in their first home match of the campaign on Sunday 30 August, again kicking off at 11:00 CEST.
September will also bring the first opportunity to compete for silverware, with the Supercoppa against Fiorentina scheduled for Wednesday 9 September (kick-off 18:00 CEST) at Milan's Arena Civica "Gianni Brera".
Joining Head Coach Bosi on the coaching staff will be Assistant Coach Marco Zanchi, Goalkeeping Coach Armando D'Innocenzi, and Fitness Coaches Emanuele Vit and Roberto Niccolai. They will also be joined during the opening phase of pre-season and throughout the training camp in Brentonico by Strikers Coach Julien Rantier.
