Primavera, Genoa 3-1 Atalanta

Genoa claimed a 3-1 win over Atalanta at the Sciorba Stadium on Matchday 5 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”.

The Nerazzurri made a positive start to the game and came close to taking the lead after just a few minutes, when Ciapini’s effort towards the near post was turned behind by the Genoa defence. The hosts responded with Ndao testing Sonzogni from distance, but the Atalanta goalkeeper did well to keep out his effort with a diving save.

On the half-hour mark, a fine passing move around the edge of the box sent Perillo through on goal, but the Genoa goalkeeper managed to get to the ball just before the Atalanta forward could finish. Genoa then broke the deadlock in the 40th minute, with Robinho Junior putting the hosts 1-0 ahead.

The hosts doubled their lead shortly after the restart when Bellone headed home at the far post. Atalanta continued to look for a way back into the game, but Genoa added a third in the 78th minute through Robinho Junior, who completed his brace.

Five minutes from full time, the Nerazzurri pulled one back through Cakolli, who found the bottom corner with a right-footed finish following an excellent cut-back from Frascolla on the left. Genoa ultimately held on to claim a 3-1 victory at the Sciorba Stadium.
