Juventus take the points in Turin

Juventus ran out 2-0 winners in Turin on Matchday 5 of the 2026/27 Serie A Enilive season.

The opening stages were evenly balanced, with Juventus threatening through Kolo Muani — Carnesecchi made the save, although the forward was offside — while the Nerazzurri put together some good moves down the right flank and also looked dangerous on the left. In the 24th minute, Lucumí made a crucial intervention to deny Krstović in the middle of the box after a perfect cross from Bernasconi. Juventus, however, broke the deadlock in the 28th minute when Conceição turned home Celik’s cross from the left. On the half-hour mark, the Nerazzurri appealed for a shirt pull by Kalulu on Rowe inside the box, but the referee waved play on.

Early in the second half, Nico Gonzalez’s header from a corner flashed across the face of the Nerazzurri goal. In the 49th minute, the Nerazzurri went close to an equaliser: Rowe burst forward at pace before firing a left-footed effort towards the bottom corner, but Vicario made a fine save to turn it away. In the 58th minute, Carnesecchi was well positioned to keep out McKennie’s header. Atalanta went agonisingly close to an equaliser in the 62nd minute when Kristensen met Samardžić’s corner, only for Kolo Muani to clear the ball off the line. Carnesecchi was then alert in the 75th minute to keep out Sarr’s effort from the edge of the box. Juventus doubled their lead in the 77th minute, with Bremer heading home from a corner. Late on, Carnesecchi did well to race off his line and deny Kolo Muani. It finished 2-0 to Juventus in Turin.

Now comes a lengthy international break, with the Nerazzurri returning to action on Monday 12 October when they host Venezia at the New Balance Arena on Serie A Enilive Matchday 6.
