De Ketelaere settles all-Nerazzurri clash with U23s in Clusone
Big fan turnout in Upper Seriana Valley for Jurić's dugout debut
Stands packed to the brim at the "Città di Clusone" Sporting Centre as the "family feud" between Ivan Jurić’s First Team and Salvatore Bocchetti's U23s unravelled in the Upper Val Seriana town. Atalanta's maiden outing of the 2025/26 pre-season saw the First Team run out 1-0 winners thanks to a late clincher courtesy of Charles De Ketelaere.
The opening half featured a handful of efforts from Samardžić, threatening Pardel first before Kamaledeen rattled the post 12 minutes in. Atalanta U23s returned in kind with De Nipoti, who prompted a sharp response from Carnesecchi. After the restart, the Senior side upped the ante, especially with Pašalić and Maldini both going close but to no avail. The breakthrough came in the 86th minute, as De Ketelaere opened Atalanta's 2025/26 preseason account, slotting home Pašalić's inch-perfect assist.
The Nerazzurri will round off the week tomorrow, Sunday 27 July, with a morning training session behind closed doors at the Centro Bortolotti.
