Atalanta’s Youth Sector at BergamoScienza 2026
Casa del Giovane residents and the Nerazzurre Under-15 took part
Once again this year, the young people residing at Casa del Giovane and the Nerazzurri Under-15 girls took part in BergamoScienza. As part of the 24th edition of the festival, they participated in an initiative focused on raising awareness of the risks associated with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The event, hosted by the Atena association at the Ermanno Olmi Auditorium in Bergamo, also involved volunteers from the On the Road association and members of the Bergamo Local Police.
The young participants took part in an interactive five-stage programme featuring driving simulations under the influence, activities exploring different traffic and visibility conditions, obstacle courses using goggles that replicate the effects of alcohol and cannabis, as well as discussions on road safety.
It was a practical and educational experience that allowed the young athletes to gain first-hand insight into the effects of impaired judgement and slower reaction times, helping them develop greater awareness of the risks involved and the importance of responsible behaviour behind the wheel.
