2026/27 Pre-season: MD-1 training ahead of the Trofeo Bortolotti
Late afternoon session at Zingonia
On the eve of the game at Zingonia, the team trained in the late afternoon as preparations continued for tomorrow’s game against Athletic Club, Friday 14 August, in the 27th edition of the Trofeo Bortolotti. It will be Sarri’s side’s first outing of the season at the New Balance Arena.
During the afternoon training session, following an initial rondo, the team worked on technical activation drills, a small-sided game and attacking tactical work.
De Ketelaere and Ahanor underwent diagnostic tests following physical issues sustained during yesterday’s training session.
The tests on De Ketelaere revealed a low-grade strain to the adductor muscles in his left leg. The examinations carried out on Ahanor revealed a low-grade strain to the adductor muscles in his right leg. Both players will be monitored over the coming days.
The final training session in Zingonia is scheduled for tomorrow morning behind closed doors, before the team take on Athletic Club at the stadium in the evening.
