The official presentation of Gianluca Gaetano

The official presentation of Gianluca Gaetano took place at the Mino Favini Conference Room at New Balance Academy.

Before introducing the Nerazzurri midfielder, Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke about his experience over the past few months and the Club’s desire to strengthen its bond with the fans: “The other day, we held an open training session at the stadium, and it was incredible; it felt like we were one with our fans. Atalanta is all about its people. Luca Percassi and I have decided to open the doors of the training centre, starting with an event next Monday, and we’ll be organising more in the future.”

“We know it’s going to be a bit of a challenge,” continued the Nerazzurri Sporting Director. “We’ve started from scratch, but we know it will take time. We know where we want to go, and we’ll get there. We’ll be ready to seize opportunities in the transfer window, but we know we’ll achieve our goal together.”

Then the official welcome was given to the Atalanta midfielder, who joined the Club on a permanent deal from Cagliari: “Gianluca is a promising young Italian player with extraordinary talent, and he has only recently changed positions. Coach Sarri and I believe in him.”

The floor was then passed to Gaetano: “I’d like to thank the Club and the Director for giving me this opportunity. I’ve found a beautiful training ground and a fantastic environment. From the friendly in Clusone against the U23s and then the training session at the stadium, I immediately realised just how passionate our fans are.”

“For me, it’s an honour and a great motivation to learn from the outstanding players I’ve found here at Atalanta. Coach Sarri immediately gave me the right instructions. He’s very good at getting his ideas across and making you understand straight away what he wants.”
