2025 Christmas Match charity auction: the final whistle
All proceeds will go to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV to support research projects led by Dr. Lorenzo D’Antiga
The standout item of the 2025 Christmas Match charity auction belonged Charles De Ketelaere: fetching an astonishing €4,100, the Belgian's number 17 jersey cemented itself as the crown jewel of the collection.
Now in its 15th edition and strongly backed by President Percassi, the initiative, organized with Bergamo TV (channel 15, also streaming at www.bergamotv.it), featured 26 special Christmas jerseys, designed and worn by the entire first-team squad during Atalanta’s 2-1 win over Cagliari, a match sealed by a Scamacca brace.
The charity auction, which opened on December 15, came to its rousing finale on Jauray 12, during the live airing of Bergamo TV's flagship program "TuttoAtalanta", with the jerseys going to the highest bidders after the final raise. In the coming days, the show’s team will reach out exclusively to the winners to turn their pledges into official bank transfers.
In the case of multiple wins, the next highest bids will come back into play, ensuring each shirt finds a unique owner. As tradition dictates, once all payments are confirmed, the total amount raised will be made public.
All proceeds, collected through the Fondo Atalanta—a charity fund established by the Club at the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca ONLUS—will be donated in full to the ’Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV, the charity supporting the Bergamo hospital (now ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII) through volunteer work asince 1990. Funds will be used to advance scientific research projects led by Dr. Lorenzo D’Antiga, Director of the Maternal, Infant, and Pediatric Department at Papa Giovanni XXIII, along with his team.
True to tradition, the jerseys will be delivered at a special, exclusive event for the winners.
