2025 AFCON: Lookman and Nigeria through to the quarter-finals

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is now in full swing in Morocco, and two Atalanta players are well into the thick of the action: Ademola Lookman with Nigeria and Odilon Kossounou with Ivory Coast.

In the quarter-final playoff, Nigeria cruised past Mozambique 4-0. Lookman, on the pitch for 86 minutes, opened the scoring for the Super Eagles before setting up the other goals. A display that granted him Man of the Match honours after the final whistle.

On Tuesday, January 6, Odilon Kossounou and Ivory Coast will take the field at 20:00 CET against Burkina Faso.
