U23s, Francesco Modesto: "The team's stance was remarkable"

Francesco Modesto commented his lads' win against Novara as follows: "There is a lot of room for growth, something truly on hand as long as our players keep growing and working. With every match having its own hindrances, the fact that we had made the odd mistake in the first game it's all part of the process. Today we measured ourselves against a fierce opponengs and the lads weathered the storm in spads and showing a remarkable attitude. While we could have done something more in the first half, the lads' outlook was the most prominent feature of our second half. We also did well to keep a clean sheet, which is another testament of today's flawless defensive performance."

Moving on to Atalanta U23s' latest signing Albert Navarro, Modesto wished to stress how: "Navarro has been a great strategic move, he was on the watchlist of many European Clubs. Both Gatti and D'Amico made a major investment with him. Despite his wealth of footballing know-how, being born in 2007 also means that he needs some adjustment time. I think he's one of the few youngsters who, at his age, is currently playing in this tournament."
