U23s, Coppa Italia Serie C opener at Cittadella on August 15
2026/27 season gets underway for coach Beati's Nerazzurri with the national Cup's Round 1
The curtain rises on Atalanta U23's 2026/27 season. The Nerazzurri will officially get their campaign underway on Saturday 15 August, taking on Cittadella at the Pier Cesare Tombolato Stadium in the opening round of the Coppa Italia Serie C Regionale Trenitalia. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 CEST.
The tie will be played as a single-leg knockout match. Should the scores be level after 90 minutes, the winners will be determined by a penalty shootout. The winners will progress to the second qualifying round, scheduled for Wednesday 2 September, where they will face the winners of the tie between Lumezzane and Renate.
Competing in Group A of the 2026/27 Serie C Sky Wifi season, Cittadella finished sixth in the league last campaign to secure a place in the Playoffs. The Veneto Maroons' run came to an end in the First National Round, where they were knocked out by Ravenna.
Saturday's fixture will mark the first official meeting between Atalanta U23 and Cittadella.
