The Zingonia report: October 13
Nerazzurri at work ahead of Pafos fixture
Following the win over Venezia, the Nerazzurri returned to training this morning to begin preparations for their 2026/27 UEFA Conference League League Phase opener against Cypriot side Pafos, scheduled for Thursday 15 October in Bergamo.
The players who featured in yesterday’s match completed a recovery session, while the unused substitutes trained on the pitch. The session consisted of rondos and technical activation exercises, followed by a technical drill focusing on combinations leading to shots on goal. It concluded with a seven-a-side game on a reduced-size pitch.
Scalvini was forced off early in yesterday’s match against Venezia due to a strain in his left thigh flexor muscle. He will undergo diagnostic tests in the coming hours to assess the extent of the injury.
Hien underwent treatment and gym work, while Sulemana completed an individual training programme on the pitch and in the gym. Kossounou and Pompei also received treatment.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 14 October, will be matchday eve, with the team scheduled to train at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia at 16:15 CEST. The session will be held behind closed doors, with the first 15 minutes open to the media.
