The Coppa Italia Frecciarossa 2024/25 draw
Atalanta to start from the Round of 16
The 2024-2025 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa draw has been defined. Being Atalanta one of the seeded teams in the competition, the Nerazzurri will start the competition in the Round of 16 - stage to be staggered on two dates: namely, the 4th and the 18th of December. Due to last year's finish in the league, Atalanta got number 4, which determines the position in the draw (the team with the lowest number will be entitled to play at home, so the round of 16 will be played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo).
Being in the bottom left-hand side of the draw, the Nerazzurri will have to wait for the outcome of two rounds to know their opposition in the Round of 16. Namely, the round of 64 clashes which will see, respectively, Hellas Verona (13) face the winner of the qualifying tie between Cesena (37) v Padova (41) - to take place on August 10 - and the winner of the knockout between Frosinone (21) and Pisa (33) scheduled for August 12. Afterwards, the victors of the two last-64 ties will then play each other in the RO32 on September 25 to access the round of 16 - where they will then meet Atalanta.
The other seed on the bottom of the draw is Bologna with number 5 (a potential meeting in the quarter-finals), while Juventus (number 1) and Fiorentina (number 8) are the other seeds in the upper part of the draw (a potential meeting in the semifinals).
