Primavera, home setback to Juventus in Zingonia
Bonanomi and Artesani on target for the Nerazzurri
Atalanta faced a domestic defeat as Juventus imposed themselves 2-3 at the Centro Bortolotti on MD17.
Despite the Primavera's strong start, it was Juventus who broke the deadlock on 21 minutes with a penalty kick converted by Vacca. The Nerazzurri had another go roughly around the 30-minute mark before the hosts extended their lead with Florea in the 35th. Just before the break Artesani came close to reducing the deficit for the Nerazzurri.
Upon nearing the goal several times after the resumption, first with Riccio, whose shot got denied by the post, and then with Manzoni's 51-minute effort; Atalanta's offensive efforts paid off as Bonanomi pulled one back in the 69th: after cutting through the box, the black-and-blue number 10 fired his left-footer towards the far post to halve the gap in Zingonia. However, Ventre restored the visitors' two-goals lead in the 74th before Artesani shortened the gap once again for Atalanta 60 mere seconds later. Unfortunately, the game culminated in a 2-3 win for the visitors.
