Primavera, Torino Through at the Memorial Mamma e Papà Cairo

Atalanta Primavera came up short against Torino in the semi-finals of the fifth edition of the "Memorial Mamma e Papà Cairo".

Perillo (pictured above in a file photo) was on target for the Nerazzurri, scoring the temporary equaliser with a precise low drive after the Torino goalkeeper could only parry the ball into his path. He also proved a constant threat throughout the match. Torino restored their two-goal lead late in the first half before adding a fourth after the break, despite several Atalanta attempts to get back into the contest, to seal a 4-1 victory.

Fielding a particularly young side, the Nerazzurri nevertheless gained another valuable test in their preparation and development, with the 2026/27 Primavera 1 campaign now just over two weeks away.

The tournament concludes on Friday 7 August, with the finals getting underway from 18:00 CEST. Giovanni Bosi's side will return to Quattordio to contest the third-place play-off.
