International duty: victory for Kessie and Ivory Coast

Thirteen Nerazzurri have been called up by their respective national teams for the late-September/early-October international window: twelve with their senior sides and one, Relja Obrić, with Slovenia U21s.

It was a winning night for Franck Kessie and Ivory Coast, who claimed a 2-0 victory over Somalia. Named in the starting XI, Kessie featured for 83 minutes.

There was less joy for Mario Pašalić and Croatia, who suffered a 4-1 defeat to Spain. The Nerazzurri midfielder came on in the 60th minute.

Eljif Elmas played the full 90 minutes as North Macedonia were beaten 2-0 by Slovenia.

There was also defeat for Relja Obrić and Slovenia U21s, who fell to a 3-2 loss against Israel U21s, with the Nerazzurri defender an unused substitute.

Next up on international duty is Lazar Samardžić, with Serbia set to face Germany in Munich on Thursday 1 October.
