Marten de Roon scores his first ever Netherlands goal

The Dutch midfielder opened the scoring against Greece

Marten de Roon took centre stage this evening as he scored his first-ever goal for the Netherlands. The midfielder opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the match against Greece (3-0 was the final scoreline). Marten, who was part of the starting eleven, came off the pitch in the 65th minute. The Nerazzurri's second Dutchman, Teun Koopmeiners, did not feature in the game. Berat Djimsiti also played this evening; lined up wearing the captain's armband, the defender completed 90 minutes in Albania's 1-1 away draw against the Czech Republic.

Juan Musso’s Argentina won 1-0 against Ecuador during the night. The Atalanta goalkeeper wasn’t included in the squad.

Friday 8 September will be the turn of Kolašinac, Pašalić and Ruggeri.
