First pre-season friendlies for Atalanta For Special

The 2026-27 season got underway for Atalanta For Special last weekend, with the 2nd and 3rd-tier teams taking part in a number of friendly matches as they prepare for the start of their respective leagues.

Both teams made a winning start to the new season, securing victories in their respective games at the CS Angelo Moratti in Ossona (Milan).

Tier 2 | Atalanta For Special-Filo di Arianna 3-1

Atalanta goals: Riva, Ramazani, Cordozo

A strong performance from Atalanta For Special’s Tier 2 team in their pre-season friendly in Ossona.

The Nerazzurri put in a convincing display, showing good ball circulation, quick combinations and consistency throughout the game. Atalanta took the lead in the opening minutes through Renato Riva, before creating several more chances without being able to find the net. After the opposition levelled the score, Denis Ramazani restored Atalanta’s lead with a fine individual effort, while Fabian Cordozo sealed the win with a precise diagonal finish late on.

A positive test, providing plenty of encouraging signs ahead of the start of the league season.

Atalanta For Special’s Tier 3 team

Tier 3 | Varesina-Atalanta For Special 1-4

Atalanta goals: Morstabilini (2), Pezzotti, Campo

There were equally encouraging signs from the Tier 3 team, who faced a strong Varesina side in their first friendly of the season. The team showed clear progress in their development, displaying good passing patterns, excellent physical conditioning, disciplined positioning and a strong desire to play together.

The coaches’ work is beginning to bear fruit, with the performance highlighted by a brace from Mauro Morstabilini, who found the net twice with precise long-range efforts. Ulisse Pezzotti also got on the scoresheet, making no mistake from Giacomo Probo’s cross at the end of a fine team move.

Marco Campo completed the scoring, firing a powerful effort under the crossbar after the ball fell to him following a ricochet on the edge of the box.

Tier 3 | Atalanta For Special-Cagliari 4-1

Atalanta goals: Morstabilini, De Cicco, Nozza

In their second game, against Cagliari, the Nerazzurri completely changed their line-up, giving all the players the opportunity to get on the pitch and gain valuable minutes. The personnel changed, but the quality of the performance did not, with Atalanta maintaining a high tempo, good organisation and quick passing combinations.

Mauro Morstabilini opened the scoring after being set up by Nicolas Nozza, who then found the net himself with a powerful effort following a switch of roles in the build-up. After the break, Angelo De Cicco took centre stage, scoring twice with two precise long-range efforts. Cagliari pulled one back late on to make it 4-1.

Another positive test, with the team maintaining their identity, organisation and quality of play despite completely changing the line-up.
