Atalanta U23s returned to winning ways in thrilling fashion, capping off a strong performance with a Zona Cesarini winner. The result marks the Nerazzurri's first away victory of the season. Both goals came from first-time scorers at professional level: Misitano and Simonetto.

In the first half Cosenza came out of the blocks showing more bite early one, but struggled to carve out any clear-cut chances or test the black-and-blue keeper. On 23 minutes, Simonetto whipped in across for Misitano, who nodded it home to score his first-ever professional goal and Atalanta's first league goal away from Caravaggio in the 2025/26 Serie C. Just after the half-hour mark (32nd minute), as Vismara handled a backpass inside the box, the referee awarded Cosenza an indirect free kick: with all Nerazzurri camped on the goal line, Steffanoni pulled off a crucial save on Garritano's thunderous strike. Right on the stroke of half-time, Manzoni played a clever first-time ball into the path of Vavassori, who ghosted into the box and nearly doubled the lead. The final word of the first half belonged to Mencaraglia, who almostpulled off an Olympic goal: his corner kick curled menacingly toward the far post, only to be kept out at the last moment.

The second half kicked off with the U23s coming out with intent, pressing out within the opening minutes. As the game wore on, Cosenza took the rein and leveled the score in the 73rd thanks to substitute Achour, who hit the back of the net 20 odd seconds after coming off the bench. The Nerazzurri, however, kept their heads and responded with composure and grit and scored the clinched in the 93rd: Cissè drove a dangerous ball across the box, Camara sold the dummy with a step-over and Simonetto arrived right on cue, smashing home his first professional goal to gift the Nerazzurri the three-pointer in Cosenza.
