Atalanta U23s 3-2 Audace Cerignola
Sixth straight unbeaten result for the Nerazzurri
Atalanta U23s returned to winning ways in Caravaggio, edging Cerignola 3-2 on Matchday 31 of the 2025/26 Serie C Sky Wifi season. It marks the Nerazzurri’s sixth consecutive positive result, taking them to 38 points in the standings and confirming their strong run of form.
The hosts got off to a flying start, breaking the deadlock as early as the 3rd minute: from a corner kick, Obrić flicked the ball on in the box and Levak reacted quickest, tapping home from close range. Less than ten minutes later the Nerazzurri doubled their lead: Cortinovis won the ball back on the left, beat his marker and fired a powerful shot across goal. The visitors tried to respond and in the 14th minute tested Vismara with an effort inside the box, but the Atalanta keeper produced a solid save. In the 29th minute a cross from Russo turned dangerous as it bounced through the area without a touch, drifting just past the far post. A minute later Misitano also tried his luck after a fine solo run, but his shot was blocked.
The second half began with a brief blackout for the Nerazzurri: in the 46th minute Vitale pulled one back, slotting home after Vismara’s initial save, and four minutes later Parlato levelled the score in a similar fashion, converting another rebound from the Atalanta goalkeeper. The U23 side had an immediate chance to restore their lead in the 52nd minute: Idele made a good run into the box and laid on a perfect assist for Cortinovis, who fired over the bar first time. With the tempo high throughout, Atalanta eventually found the winner thanks to an own goal by Gasbarro, who turned Panada’s pass—intended for Cissè—into his own net.
