Atalanta set a new record: Éderson takes Nerazzurri tally to eight at the FIFA World Cup 2026
Twice as many as the Club’s previous record set in Qatar
Following the recent call-up of Éderson by Brazil, Atalanta have further extended their all-time record for the number of players selected to compete at the FIFA World Cup.
The Nerazzurri will have eight representatives at the FIFA World Cup 2026, surpassing the Club’s previous best of four players at Qatar 2022. On that occasion, Atalanta were represented by Marten de Roon, Mario Pašalić, Teun Koopmeiners and Joakim Maehle – exactly half the number set to feature in this year’s global showpiece.
Joining Éderson at the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be Charles De Ketelaere, Marten de Roon, Isak Hien, Sead Kolašinac, Odilon Kossounou, Mario Pašalić and Kamaldeen Sulemana, taking Atalanta’s total representation to a record-breaking eight players.
