Krstović Nets Equaliser in Kairat Stalemate

Atalanta played out a 1-1 draw against Kakazh side Kairat Almaty at the Stadio di Bergamo on Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League League Phase. Krstović was on target for the Nerazzurri, who move up to four points in the standings.

Rowe threatened twice around the fifth minute, first weaving his way between two defenders before seeing his shot saved by the goalkeeper, then sending a glancing header over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Pašalić picked out Bernasconi, who teed up Rowe for a left-footed effort that was turned away by the Kazakh goalkeeper. The visitors threatened in the 29th minute, when Mrynskiy's shot from the edge of the box was saved by Carnesecchi. Atalanta came within inches of taking the lead in the 31st minute, as a quick exchange between Scamacca and Elmas picked out Pašalić, who had started the move with a well-timed run into the box, only for the Croatian to fire narrowly wide. In the 41st minute, Rowe surged forward and flashed a ball across the box, but nobody was on hand to turn it in. The move continued with Samardžić testing Anarbekov, who made the save.

The visitors took the lead in the 53rd minute through Gual, who made the most of a quick counter-attack to beat Carnesecchi. Atalanta responded on the hour mark, but Idele's right-footed volley sailed over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Elmas unleashed a right-footed shot from the edge of the box, but Anarbekov dived to punch the ball clear. In the 80th minute, Éderson tried his luck with an acrobatic scissor kick inside the box, but Anarbekov turned his effort away. Atalanta drew level just a minute later from the resulting corner, as Obrić nodded the ball into Krstović's path, leaving the striker with a simple finish from point-blank range into the roof of the net to make it 1-1. The final chance fell to Pašalić in the 95th minute, but his effort missed the target. The match ended 1-1 in Bergamo, with Atalanta and Kairat Almaty sharing the points.
