An emotional moment set the scene ahead of the clash against Kairat Almaty, as Berat Djimsiti returned to Bergamo as a special guest for the evening.

The UEFA Conference League fixture offered the perfect opportunity to welcome back a man who gave so much to Atalanta and Bergamo, both on and off the pitch. Djimsiti wore the black and blue shirt with pride and unwavering dedication on 334 occasions, a tally fittingly displayed on the commemorative shirt presented to him by President Antonio Percassi before kick-off.

The Albanian defender then took a lap of honour around the pitch, receiving a long, heartfelt round of applause from the entire stadium in a moving tribute to a player who left a lasting mark on the Club and its supporters.
