The win over Sassuolo got Atalanta’s 2026/27 Serie A campaign off to a positive start. For the ninth consecutive season, the Nerazzurri have avoided defeat on opening day, recording eight wins and one draw across that run.

GOAL AND ASSIST: THE FIRST CONTRIBUTIONS OF 2026/27
Giacomo Raspadori scored Atalanta’s first official goal of the 2026/27 season, breaking the deadlock against Sassuolo just six minutes into the game at the New Balance Arena. Gianluca Gaetano provided the assist for Raspadori’s opener, registering his first of the season and his first direct goal contribution in an Atalanta shirt.
