Twelve Nerazzurri on International duty between friendlies and the World Cup
Here is the list of Atalanta First Team players called up by their respective national teams during this late May/early June international window ahead of the World Cup:
Honest Ahanor has earned a call-up from Italy for the upcoming friendlies against Luxembourg (Wednesday 3 June in Luxembourg) and Greece (Sunday 7 June in Crete).
Charles De Ketelaere has been included in Belgium’s squad for the upcoming friendlies against Croatia (Tuesday 2 June in Rijeka) and Tunisia (Saturday 6 June in Brussels). Starting from 12 June, Belgium will then kick off their World Cup journey against Egypt, Iran and New Zealand in the group stage.
Marten de Roon will join up with the Netherlands for the upcoming friendly against Algeria (Wednesday 3 June in Rotterdam). From 14 June onwards, the Dutch side will begin their World Cup campaign against Japan, Sweden and Tunisia in the group stage.
Berat Djimsiti has received a call-up from Albania for the upcoming friendlies against Israel (Wednesday 3 June in Tirana) and Luxembourg (Saturday 6 June in Tirana).
Isak Hien has been selected by Sweden for the upcoming friendlies against Norway (Monday 1 June in Oslo) and Greece (Thursday 4 June in Solna). Sweden will then head to the World Cup from 14 June, where Tunisia, the Netherlands and Japan await in the group stage.
Sead Kolašinac will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the upcoming friendlies against North Macedonia (Friday 29 May in Sarajevo) and Panama (Saturday 6 June in St. Louis). Beginning on 12 June, Bosnia and Herzegovina will then feature at the World Cup against Canada, Iran and New Zealand in the group stage.
Odilon Kossounou has been drafted into the Ivory Coast squad for the upcoming friendlies against France (Thursday 4 June in Nantes) and the Republic of Korea (Friday 12 June in London). The Ivorians will then begin their World Cup adventure on 15 June against Ecuador, Germany and Curaçao in the group stage.
Nikola Krstović is part of Montenegro's squad list for the upcoming friendlies against Bulgaria (Monday 1 June) and Slovakia (Friday 5 June in Košice).
Mario Pašalić is set to represent Croatia in the upcoming friendlies against Belgium (Thursday 2 June in Rijeka) and Slovenia (Sunday 7 June in Varaždin). Croatia will then enter the World Cup on 17 June, taking on England, Panama and Ghana in the group stage.
Lazar Samardžić has joined up with Serbia for the upcoming friendlies against Cape Verde (Sunday 31 May in Lisbon) and Mexico (Thursday 4 June in Toluca de Lerdo).
Kamaldeen Sulemana has received a Ghana call-up for the upcoming friendly against Wales (Tuesday 2 June in Cardiff). Ghana’s World Cup run will then begin on 17 June with group-stage matches against Panama, England and Croatia.
Nicola Zalewski has been included in Poland’s squad for the upcoming friendlies against Ukraine (Sunday 31 May in Wrocław) and Nigeria (Wednesday 3 June in Warsaw).
