A tight 1-1 draw against Como

Samardžić opened the scoring at the New Balance Arena

All square in Bergamo on Matchday 6 as Atalanta and Como played out a 1-1 draw at the New Balance Arena with Jurić's men racking up chances and pushing until the end. Extending their unbeaten streak to six games, the Nerazzurri move up to 10 points in the Serie A Enilive standings.

After an early scare from the hosts, with Hien stepping up to deflect Douvikas' attempt from the edge of the box, the Nerazzurri returned in kind and broke the deadlock on 5 minutes sharp with Samardžić: after a clutch recovery from Hien, our number 10 broke down the left flank and connected a one-two with Éderson before burying the ball into the bottom left corner. The Nerazzurri kept on knocking with Kamaldeen and Éderson, both kept out by the opposing defence. On 15 minutes, while Perrone kept Sulemana's point-blank finish out with a clutch goal-line clearance, Carnesecchi stood tall 60 seconds later and foiled Da Cuhna's encroachment before Ramon headed the ball out in the follow-up. Como levelled the score in the 19th minute, when Perrone's cross-shot took a wicked bounce and lobbed over Carnesecchi, sneaking at the far post. Right before the half-hour mark, the Nerazzurri came closest to untie the game once again as Lookman carved out an opening and let his left-footer fly, grazing the post by inches.

In the second half, the tit for tat forged ahead with Lookman and then Maldini trying to punch through Como's defence in a bid to restore the Nerazzurri's lead but the opposition stood firm. Despite Atalanta pushing for the breakthrough until the very last minute of the game, it ended 1-1 against Como.
