2025 AFCON: Kossounou's Ivory Coast also off to next stage

Currently underway in Morocco, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, features two Atalanta players among its protagonists: Ademola Lookman with Nigeria and Odilon Kossounou with Ivory Coast. The opening stage of the tournament has now concluded, with each national team playing three matches.

In their third and final group stage fixture, Ivory Coast came from behind to beat Gabon 3–2, topping Group F and booking their place in the knockout stage. Odilon Kossounou did not feature.
