2025/26 UCL MD1 PSG v Atalanta: the referee

Swiss official Sandro Schärer has been appointed to referee Atalanta's opening game in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League League Phase against Paris Saint-Germain. The fixture is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris with kick-off at 21:00 CEST.

Schärer will be assisted by Stéphane De Almeida (SUI) and Jonas Erni (SUI), with Lionel Tschudi (SUI) as the fourth official. VAR duties will be handled by Bastian Dankert (GER), Fedayi San (SUI) serving as AVAR.
