How the Nerazzurri youngsters fared this weekend
The youth sector weekend got underway on Friday with the Primavera’s away fixture against Juventus, which ended in a 3-0 win for the Bianconeri. On Saturday, the U16s’ run came to an end in the quarter-finals after defeat away to Roma in the second leg: Cappellato converted from the penalty spot in the 5-1 loss, with the Nerazzurri reduced to ten men from the 38th minute onwards. On Sunday, the U18s also suffered a setback away to Cesena, falling 2-0 in the third-to-last round of the regular season.
As for the women’s sides, the U17s fell 4-2 to Fiorentina away in the second round of the National Phase (Mazzoleni and Saccomandi on target). Meanwhile, the U15s claimed a 4-0 win away to Cremonese in the penultimate round of the Interregional Phase, thanks to a brace from Traini and goals from Cocca and Bonetti.
