A spark, or better yet, a blitz… That sums up Atalanta’s stunning show on the Main in a nutshell, during the fifth act of the 2025/26 League Phase. But if we tell the tale of this “family clash” with Eintracht Frankfurt by focusing solely on the scoreline and the performance (even though central to the storyline) we’d be capturing only part of the magic of the match, a magic that ran through every heartbeat of the evening.

The night opened with the Frankfurter faithful paying tribute to the Nerazzurri fans, who had turned out in droves for a clash already destined to enter Atalanta’s legend. From the away end came the echoing counter-chant: another "pel de poia" moment that wrote yet another chapter in the storied bond between the two fanbases.

After the pre-kickoff spectacle that stole the show, all eyes turned to the pitch: while the first half simmered with tension, as Lookman and Scamacca both shook the posts, then came those “6 minutes of madness” from Atalanta: an unstoppable Lookman, an ever-present Éderson, and a rampant Charles De Ketelaere—primus inter pares among the evening’s stars and rightfully crowned MVP of the night.

And after the final whistle, yet another celebration within the celebration: the players in the away section returning the crowd’s warm applause, and Raffaele Palladino, who couldn’t have imagined a better debut on Europe’s grandest stage, soaking it all in from the touchline… All of this captured in five unmissable wallpapers!
