UEFA Youth League: Atalanta 2-0 Slavia Praha

Gasparello puts the stamp on Atalanta's first victory

Third time was the charm for Atalanta Primavera as coach Bosi's Nerazzurri saw Czech side Slavia Praha 2-0 off at the Centro Bortolotti in the 2025/26 UEFA Youth League League Phase MD3.

The match between got off to an evenly start, as both sides brought high intensity and physicality to the pitch. The Nerazzurri carved out the first real chances early on, with Camara forcing a sharp save from Paar with a driven effort, while Isoa rose highest in the box with his header flashing just wide of the far post. Right on the stroke of half-time, Atalanta nearly made the breakthrough but were denied by the crossbar following a corner-kick situation: Camara latched onto a loose ball and fired a turn-and-hit rattling the woodwork.

Early in the second half Camara was once again in the thick of the action, cutting in from rhe lefr and firing a left-footer, but thw shot flew to the side netting. A few minutes later, Valdivia surged forward and unleashed a right-footed strike from the edge of the box, but the Slavia keeper proved himself alert and got down well to deny Atalanta's no. 16. Slavia responded through Kolísec, but it was Atalanta who broke the deadlock shortly after. From a corner, a fortunate deflection off a defender saw the ball roll into the back of the net, giving coach Bosi’s side the lead.

As the second half wore on, Ramaj and his teammates took control of the game, continuing to create chances.Five minutes from time, the result was sealed as 2009-born Gasparello cut inside and curled a pinpoint left-footed finish into the far corner, leaving Paar with no chance and capping a dream Primavera debut in style. At the Centro Bortolotti, the Nerazzurri came away with a well-earned 2-0 win over Slavia Praha.
