U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: “We’re Building Consistency”

Salvatore Bocchetti reflected on the win over Trapani as follows: "Today we secured an important result. The lads put in a great performance, all the credit goes to them. I’m very pleased because we’re showing consistency: it’s our third clean sheet in a row. That said, we still have nine games left and for us they’re all like finals. We’ll have to give everything. We know the end of the season is always the toughest stretch, and already on Thursday against Picerno we’ll be facing another important match".

He then concluded: "It's never easy to play in stadiums like this one. We knew they would start fast and that we had to match their intensity. We did that very well in the opening fifteen minutes, and after that the lads delivered a strong performance. We’re taking that step forward that was missing: against teams like these you have to stay fully focused at all times. So once again, credit to the lads, but there's still a lot of work to do. We can't afford to drop our guard".
