U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "Time to move on"

Salvatore Bocchetti commented on the defeat to Benevento as follows: "We did well in the first half, except for the lapse that led to the opening goal. We reacted really well, and it's a shame because we were 3-1 up at the break. In the second half, they pressed higher, and we struggled. Benevento are a very strong team, but we made too many mistakes that we’ll need to work on. We could and should have managed our advantage better. Now we move forward and analyse where we can improve ahead of Crotone".

He then added: "We'll respond through hard work. It's a tough pill to swallow, but that's football. We need to grow from moments like this. We were playing well but then conceded too much. We really wanted to get the result, and perhaps a bit of fear crept in, even though it shouldn’t in these situations. Time to dust ourselves off and move on."
