U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "A good performance, pity for the result"

Speaking after the away game at Team Altamura, Salvatore Bocchetti commented as follows: "It's a pity because we played a great match, leaving our mark from the onset and conceding next to nothing. We should have put it to bed while we were on top of the game; yet we still lack the maturity to lay out games like this: as it would have it, pitfalls are always around the corner and as soon as we dropped our focus, we ended up conceding. We take a point home aware that there's still much room for improvement".

In his closing remarks, the Nerazzurri coach underscored how: "We came on in leaps and bounds mentally: I've registered much more malice, grit and self-confidence. We should and we have to improve when it comes to managing key moments: situations often arise where we need to do much better emotionally and mentally. As we always say, it’s a tough league, we’re up against experienced players, and the only way is to keep growing".
