Italy U20 made a strong start to their World Cup campaign, edging past Australia 1-0 at the Elías Figueroa Brander stadium in Valparaíso. Featuring the starting lineup, Lorenzo Riccio played the opening 78 minutes of the game, while Javison Idele was an unused sub.
The Azzurrini will be back in action on Wednesday, October 1, again in Valparaíso for their second group stage fixture against Cuba.
