U23s, Francesco Modesto: "We lacked the right reaction"

Coach Francesco Modesto commented on the home setback suffered at the hands of Virtus Verona: "This is already the second game where we've failed to bounce back after conceding. We lacked the drive to go the extra mile and to stand our ground regardless of the deficit. Despite not having the whole roster at our full disposal, we have always delivered solid performances. Yet, today we lacked our usual zing, malice and team spirit that, in a way, are our trademark. This lack was conducive to the shortcomings we made on the pitch. The best course of action now is to go over them and make the most of them to keep on improving. In brief, we need to get back to being our usual selves and recharge as much as possible; there are plenty of matches to go and we have to keep pushing forward in our development".
