Atalanta U23s 0-3 Virtus Verona

A setback for the Nerazzurri at the Municipal Stadium in Caravaggio, as Virtus Verona won 3-0 in the Serie C NOW MD26.

Pardel kept his composure in the one-to-one against De Marchi on 9 minutes before deflecting Rispoli's tricky effort out for a corner in the 17th. Coach Modesto's Nerazzurri gave tit for tat in the 22nd with Alessio, rattling the crossbar with a right-footed shot, Atalanta's no.26 went on the attack once again shortly after, but saw his effort tipped out for a corner by Sibi. In the 27th the visitors came close as De Marchi got past Pardel, but Ceresoli made a vital backheel clearance to keep the ball out of the net.

In the second half, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 51st with Mehic before stretching their lead four minutes later with De Marchi. Then, in the 74th minute, Mehic completed his brace from a corner kick. The Nerazzurri attempted to bounce back, but to no avail.
