Rattled post and countless chances, but it's 1-1 at the Tardini

Pašalić marks his 300th in Nerazzurro with a goal

The 2025/26 Serie A Enilive MD2 saw Atalanta share spoils with hosting side Parma as the Nerazzurri's first seasonal outing ended in a 1-1 honours even. It was Mario Pašalić who gave coach Jurić's side the temporary lead at the Tardini.

Atalanta had the first major opportunity in the 19th minute as De Roon snatched the ball in midfield and set up Scamacca, who, upon spotting the keeper off his line, chipped the ball over, only to be denied by the post. Parma had two chances before the break: in the 37th minute, Valenti fired wide from the edge of the box, and in the 44th, Bernabé forced Carnesecchi into a save with a shot from distance.

On 57 minutes, Carnesecchi made crucial saves to deny both Oristanio and Pellegrino, but the play was marred by a handball from the latter, rightly flagged by the referee. Atalanta turned up the heat, coming close first with Krstović, whose near-post run resulted in a shot that went off target, and then with a swift counter led by De Ketelaere and Kamaldeen, only for Parma’s defence to snuff out the threat. In the 74th minute, Krstović had another go, but his effort was straight down the middle. The game opened up in the 79th minute: Krstović laid it off for Pašalić, who drove a low shot into the corner from outside the box, beating Suzuki and marking his 300th appearance for Atalanta in style. Parma levelled things up in the 85th minute, with Cutrone pouncing on a rebound from Carnesecchi to score. In the 87th, Atalanta came close again: after breaking free, Krstović fed Pašalić, who was closed down just before pulling the trigger. The match ended 1-1 at the Stadio Tardini.
