Atalanta win the Coppa Italia Primavera!
Juventus beaten on penalties at the Arena Civica "Gianni Brera" in Milan
Atalanta Primavera win the 2025/26 Coppa Italia Primavera! At the Arena Civica "Gianni Brera" in Milan, coach Bosi's Atalanta Under-20s beat Juventus on penalties after a thrilling encounter. After Isoa equalised for Atalanta at the death, the Nerazzurri made no mistake in the penalty shootout and Anelli capped off his performance with two penalty saves.
The first chance fell to Juventus, with Miakiobo firing wide from the edge of the box after just two minutes. The hosts broke the deadlock in the 27th minute, as Rizzo curled a left-footed effort into the top corner. On 32 minutes, Anelli produced a superb save to claw Durmisi’s header off the line. The Nerazzurri responded on 38 minutes, when Idele picked out Camara from the right, but Radu was equal to his header. Baldo also tried his luck from distance on 41 minutes, with his effort comfortably saved.
Atalanta started the second half on the front foot. Substitute Mouisse went through on goal early on but was denied by Radu, and the forward came close again on 49 minutes, only to slip at the crucial moment. Anelli was called into action once more on 51 minutes, keeping out Montero’s header as the ball clipped the crossbar and went behind. Atalanta came inches from an equaliser on 55 minutes, with Baldo rattling the bar with a header from Ramaj’s cross. Durmisi fired over on 61 minutes and was then denied again by Anelli five minutes later. The Nerazzurri kept pushing, and Gasparello saw his right-foot effort deflected behind for a corner on 82 minutes. The equaliser finally arrived deep into stoppage time with the last kick of the game: Camara delivered from the flank and Isoa met it to make it 1–1, sending the match to penalties. And the penalty shootout saw Anelli save two spot-kicks and the Nerazzurri make no mistakes, bringing the Coppa Italia Primavera back to Bergamo.
